The Erie’s Orange Branch

The December meeting will feature a look at the Erie Railroad’s Orange Branch, part of the Erie’s New York & Greenwood Lake Division. Presenter Bill McKelvey grew up along the Orange Branch and will provide us with a unique perspective of this unique rail line’s history and operations, including during the days of the Erie, E-L, and Conrail. McKelvey is the Chairman of the Liberty Historic Railway, which has funded numerous transportation related preservation projects throughout the State of New Jersey, including M&E 19 and HMRC 700.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, the membership portion of the meeting will start at 7:30 PM, and the presentation should begin around 8:00 PM.
